What you can expect from Oath, and what Oath is not.
We are not lawyers
Oath is practice software. We are not a law firm, not a government agency, and not connected to USCIS in any way. Nothing here is legal advice. For anything about your own case, talk to a licensed immigration attorney or a representative accredited by the US Department of Justice.
Be careful who you take advice from. A person calling themselves a notario, a notary, or an immigration consultant is usually not allowed to give immigration legal advice in the United States. You can look up accredited representatives for free on the Department of Justice list at https://www.justice.gov/eoir/recognized-organizations-and-accredited-representatives-roster-state-and-city.
What this page is
Right now this is a waitlist. You give us an email address; we email you when the app is ready. Joining costs nothing and commits you to nothing, and it does not guarantee you a place, a price, or a launch date.
What the app will do, and what it cannot
Oath lets you practise the spoken citizenship interview with an AI practice officer. The officer is software. It is not a USCIS officer and its questions are not the questions you will be asked.
Practising with Oath does not guarantee you will pass. We do our best to keep the civics material accurate, but USCIS is the only authority on what is on the test. Always check the official materials at https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/find-study-materials-and-resources.
Price
The practice questions will be free. The full mock interview will be paid. We will always show you the price before you pay anything, and we will never charge a card without you choosing to.
Fair use
Please do not try to break the site, scrape it, resell it, or sign up other people's email addresses. We may remove anyone from the list who does.
Everything on this site belongs to us, apart from the civics questions themselves, which are US government material.
If something goes wrong
This site is provided as it is. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never contain a mistake. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us, or US$100. Nothing here limits liability we are not allowed to limit.
Age, changes and law
You must be at least 16 to join the list.
If we change these terms we will email the list at least 30 days beforehand.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of India. This does not take away consumer rights you have where you live: if you are in the United States, US federal and state consumer protection law still applies to us.
