It holds a random reference and a signature. No email address, no answers, nothing a person could read. Your browser will not let any script on the page see it, and it is never sent to another company.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist for storage that tracks you. Our own cookie is not that: it exists only because you pressed a button, and it is gone in two hours.
The Convex script is a closer call. It saves a random id so we can tell how many people visit rather than how many times a page was opened. It does not follow you to other websites and it is not used for advertising. If you would rather it did not run, any content blocker stops it, and clearing site data removes what it saved.
Nothing else
No advertising cookies. No third-party cookies of any kind. Our security policy names every outside host the browser is allowed to contact, and there is exactly one: the analytics service above. Everything else on the page comes from our own server, including the fonts.
Blocking it
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block this one, your email still goes on the list — you just will not see the optional questions afterwards. Nothing is lost.
